      The 1.5" vent has an outer diameter just slightly smaller than 1.5" and will fit perfectly into a 1.5" copper pipe if forced past the detents. While it is designed to work against wood, my particular application was for a plumbing air vent on an exterior wall. The vent is made of 16oz roofing copper and is of really good quality.

      I looked at five local stores and all the mini-louvers I found were made in China and without screens and simply lame! I am so happy to have found these high-quality Mande in the USA perfect louvers!!! Plus, they match our lovely copper-tone roofing!
