      The vents fit my 2.5 inch round soffit vent holes snugly, so they will not fall out. The paint appears to be durable. There is a very light oil coating on the ones sent to me, possibly silicon oil. It doesn't affect use, but I wiped them off before placing them in the holes.Press them in the holes evenly around the edges. I used a level to make sure the louvers all were aligned with each other.

      Well made, fits perfectly into a 2.5" diameter hole saw hole cut into 1/4" plywood, and stays secure. Just what I needed.

      This is EXACTLY what we needed for our eaves after the birds pecked through the netting. Looks great and very effective product.

      The only issue we had was not with the product - the edges were smaller than our original and now I have to remove them and paint under. They are a consistent size - I wish I could say the same for the holes they had to go into. Would order again if needed
