      This is much higher quality than any vents I found at the "Big Box stores", and at about half the price. I chose this US made product hoping for a tougher product and was not disapointed.

      These actually vent

      To make installation much easier, get a pair of straight aviation metal snips and make three cuts 120 degrees apart in the inside collar, between the nubs. The three sections will overlap each other, so when you knock in the vent the collar will compress to fit nice and snug. It beats trying to hole saw each birdhole to make it a 16th of an inch bigger. With a team of two guys, you can install 250 of them in a day. One guy cuts, one guy pounds them in. Use a mallet with a pvc connector to hold over the vent. BTW, the screens are galvanized, meaning that if you want them to last more than 6 years, you should spray paint both sides before installing. We sprayed them with gutter paint to match the color of the eaves and are very glad we did. Having 250 metal plugs staring at you would be an eyesore.

      No More Birds

      We have a bunch of eave vents that are 2 inch diameter holes in 2x wood blocks. There was insect screen at the back but birds punched right through and started nesting. Birds make a big mess in the attic and surrounding. I bought these screens to fill the holes and look professional. The fit excatly and are difficul to remove. I don't think the birds will be a bother any longer :)
